Cask at the Cross Lanes in Hounslow, a very tasty English bitter in the typical Fuller’s mould, yet distinct from the others. It’s lightly hoppy on the nose, then a full malty and fruity body with a touch of orange marmalade, and a dryish slightly spicy finish.

Cask conditioned handpump Basketmakers Arms Brighton 20/05/12. An amber brown coloured beer with an off-white head. A really quite plain nutty dry bitter. Leafy hops. Very very English. The malt beats the hops. Perfectly drinkable and a grower but too safe by half.
