COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mainly bottle conditioned; Special. Has been seen on cask.

Brewed in the traditional style that became a favourite royal court, this limited edition Imperial Stout has been specially created as a single brew. In a unique addition to the historic recipe, the floral character of the Centennial hops is enhanced by the inclusion of rose buds, lending a hint of Turkish delight flavour to the beer. This Imperial Stout has a rich, dark appearance with strong chocolate and deep cherry notes which lead to a lighter, bitter finish.

Pours very very dark with cloudy big head. Tastes a bit bitter in the beginning but has a fantastic aftertaste. The aroma is nice

Bottled. Pours dark brown in color with a tan head. Roasted malts, cocoa, peat and leather in aroma. Even if it’s slightly bitter at first in taste, there’s some milk chocolatey sweetness present. Licorice and dark fruits or hints of ripe cherries also. A bit on the dry side, but I do like the richness this brew offers. There’s also that nice light smokyness and vinousness present in aftertaste. A positive surprise here with some bitter cocoa in finish. Go on KooKoo!

500 ml bottle, thanks laiti. Pours a pitch black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roastiness, bilberries, toffee and grass. Rich flavour of roasted malts, salty licorice, bilberries and biscuit. Full bodied and an oily, rich, thick finish. Some wooden tartness. Very well balanced and rich, not overwhelming at all.

Pours black color, small beige head. Aroma is roasty with malts and wood, some caramel and vanilla notes with chocolate and dark cocoa. Velvety smooth creamy palate with a surprisingly salty flavor, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, licorice and dark berry notes. Some caramel and vanilla on the aftertaste also. Extremely tasty and sophisticated dry dessert beer.

500ml bottle from Saveur-Biere

Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth head. Aroma of roasted malts, sweet syrupy notes, licorice and dark chocolate. Taste is smooth, roasty and warming with notes of syrup, licorice and dark chocolate. Finish is sweetish and roasty with some herbal grassy notes and licorice. Quite balanced and smooth imperial stout.

Bottle. 10.7%. Best before 12.23. Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a dark tan head. Good lacing. Sweetish, pine hop aroma. Roasted and light alcohol notes as it warms. Feels a wee bit stale, bordering a cardboard note, but not quite getting there. Flavour is sweetish and roasted, with pine hops in the background. Light dark fruit as it warms. Finish is more pine hops, a wee bit tart, and with a liquorice note, which lingers along with a balanced alcohol burn and a light grassy note. Smooth palate; light carbonation and feels almost creamy. Overall quite good; I was especially (pleasantly) surprised about the hop notes. 11.04.14.

Tror denne ville gått rett hjem hos Vladimir P.

Bottle thanks to anon. Pours a really dark brown and is topped by a medium beige ring that leaves some lacing. Nose is lightly boozy but mostly showcases roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is sweet but not too sweet, offers some nice chocolate flavors and a little caramel. Minimal ash on the finish. Body is of course full, carbonation moderate. Alcohol warms you a little but is in no way "hot". A really classy beer!

---Rated via Beer Buddy by Sátyro
