COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mainly bottle conditioned; Special. Has been seen on cask.

Brewed in the traditional style that became a favourite royal court, this limited edition Imperial Stout has been specially created as a single brew. In a unique addition to the historic recipe, the floral character of the Centennial hops is enhanced by the inclusion of rose buds, lending a hint of Turkish delight flavour to the beer. This Imperial Stout has a rich, dark appearance with strong chocolate and deep cherry notes which lead to a lighter, bitter finish.

500ml bottle from Systembolaget. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of dark fruits and chocolate. Very balanced flavour with roasted malt, oats, sweetness and bitter and floral hops. The finish is both bitter and sweet. A formidable Imperial Stout.

500ml bottle pours almost black in color with a finger and a half of light beige head that leaves some nice lacing behind. Aroma is dark fruits with hints of chocolate. Taste is a chocolate malt and dark fruity sweetness with a herbal hoppy bitterness. A very well done brew for the style. Nice aroma and taste with some decent body. Recommended.

Pours black with a low tan head. Aroma is chocolate, dark red fruit, vanilla, honey, roasted malts. Taste is vanilla, chocolate, honey, roasted malts, hazelnuts. Mouthfeel is very creamy and superbly textured. Does not make a fuss, and is not that extravagant, but very well balanced. A very fine example of a non-barrel aged British Imperial Stout.

Bottle. As Imperial Stout, 10.7% ABV. Looking really sexy in the glass, with its dense, two-finger beige head leaving lacings and a pitch black body. Thereís some alcohol in the nose, but only at an appropriate level. Else itís roasted and chocolatey, with some molasses hints and smoke hints. Licorice too. Itís roasted and lightly sweet in the mouth, molasses, coffee and some alcohol in the flavor. Full body, dryish and lighlty warming. Pleasant carbonation. Lasting roasted finish with a certain warmth. A really pleasant one, tasteful and moreish, but not a beer you can drink a lot of. 131123

Ulfborg weekend celebration of nothing in particular. Black with a lasting, creamy, tan head. Aroma of licorice, chocolate, fruit and toffee, with a faint hint of signature marmalade. Sweetish roasted flavour with licorice and fruity notes. Full bodied with warming alcohol. Quite hard roasted, ashy finish

Pours clear dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, molasses, brown sugar, licorice and alcohol. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, licorice and roasted finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Bottle @ Scooper Tasting in Ulfborg. Pours cloudy nearly black with airy tan head. Dark aroma of coffe, malt and alcohol, with fruity touches. Sweet, malty and caramellish flavour, with notes of coffee. Warming alcohol presence. Sweetish and boozy aftertaste. Good. I just love the style.
