Handpull at The Grove - Huddersfield. One of the Fullerís that I have been wanting to taste and blimey. Oily. Dark. Mysterious. Aroma of dark jammy fruits and danger. Subtle hint of winter bothy on the Cairngorm. I can see thi beer giving warmth and light in a cold dark place. Drobovyeh.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Very dark brown, small to average mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate to full, malty and sweetish aroma, some roasted malt and light coffee, faint licorice. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish - sweetish flavor, some roasted malt and light bread with light coffee, light alcohol. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, some roasted malt and light coffee, faint licorice and light hoppyness, some alcohol. Bit thin body considering the 10,7% - too much alcohol in the finish.

Bottle 500ml from Alko Arkadia - "Fullerís Imperial Stout" - no Russian mentioned.
Dark black color, small beige head. Coffeish, roasted, liquerice, a bit milky and metallic nose. Full-bodied. Palate is smooth. Flavor has dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted, bready maltyness. Some kick of alcohol in the finish. Quite Fullerish flavor. Strong, robust, English, perhaps not quite an impy which I like but good one.

500mL bottle BB end of 2023!!!
Seriously thick black looking stuff, holds a small deeply tanned head.
Roasted nose, deeply complex; charred wood, dark chocolate, espresso, raisins, black plum, prune, odd bit of sulfur dioxide - might just be me!
Full body certainly doesnít feel 10%+ though, alcohol has thinned it out a bit with a touch of warmth. Low carbonation, oily, chewy, creamy, yummy.
Body opens out...lots of malt! Molasses, raisins, black roasted malt, toasted, nutty, lots of dark fruits, clove spice, wood, chocolate, plenty of bitterness, very long on the finish.
Very good, a pleasant change to a swag hoppy American-style Imp Stouts!
