COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mainly bottle conditioned; Special. Has been seen on cask.

Brewed in the traditional style that became a favourite royal court, this limited edition Imperial Stout has been specially created as a single brew. In a unique addition to the historic recipe, the floral character of the Centennial hops is enhanced by the inclusion of rose buds, lending a hint of Turkish delight flavour to the beer. This Imperial Stout has a rich, dark appearance with strong chocolate and deep cherry notes which lead to a lighter, bitter finish.

Nuchtere Noorden Tasting
Een imperial stout van Fullers van 10,7!% Die had ik niet verwacht. En het is een hele mooie! Prachtig in balans, met tonen van koffie en chocolade. Beide niet te veel. Goeie body en fijne carbo.

Strong/medium aroma with salty licorice, licorice, some sweetness and a hint of alcohol. Almost pitch black with some red/brown notes. Light/Medium, light brown head. Strong taste with a bit dominating salty licorice and licorice. Also chocolate, a bit roasted malts, a hint of vanilla and in the end some hops. Very balanced with wide taste spectrum and long aftertaste of malts and chocolate. Medium/thick palate with medium/low carbonation. Near to the perfection with some dominating taste properties and too light palate.

@Nuchtere Noorden Tasting I, 10.7%, 500 ml. schenkt zwart met fijne bruine kraag.

500ml bottle served in a tulip glass. Best before end 2024. A: First of all, beautiful art. It comes in a purple box. Simple but very nice purple label. Pours a very dark brown to oil black color forming a small and solid beige head. Medium retention and only few spotty and lingering lacings left in the glass. However, a thin layer remains forever on the top. S: Reach nose. Strong notes of dark chocolate and roasted malts in upfront followed by strong notes of cherry and licorice. Dark dry fruits like raisins and dates. Great flowery and grassy hoppy notes. A bit of alcohol can be felt in the end. T: Sweet upfront. Strong notes of dark chocolate, roasted malts, wood, licorice, coffee, raisins, dates and grassy hops. Hints of cherry and Bourbon. Warming. Great intense and persistent bitter end. Mix of roasted malts and grassy hops. M: Heavy, creamy and molasses body. Medium to low carbonation. Bittersweet aftertaste with hints of chocolate, coffee beans and grass. O: Good drinkability. Excellent British Russian Imperial Stout.

DWG; Bottle 500ml. Served in a box at Cardinal. Pours black with a moderate creamy, lots of lacing, lasting tan head. Nose is heavy roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit and light herbal and spice. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a sweet lasting, warming finish. Body is full, texture is oily to creamy, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Pours a deep almost-black with a creamy dark tan head. Aroma and flavour of dark bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, licorice, a vein of deep molasses sweetness, a bit of burnt wood, and a subtle suggestion of rose. Big, bold body that feels full and lush on the palate. Lovely stuff that it may be worth grabbing a few bottles of for aging.
