Brewed in the traditional style that became a favourite royal court, this limited edition Imperial Stout has been specially created as a single brew. In a unique addition to the historic recipe, the floral character of the Centennial hops is enhanced by the inclusion of rose buds, lending a hint of Turkish delight flavour to the beer. This Imperial Stout has a rich, dark appearance with strong chocolate and deep cherry notes which lead to a lighter, bitter finish.

500 ML bottle Pours dark cola color, settles jet black with a light tan head that falls to a nice collar. Good retention, good spotty lacing, nice oily residue left. Nose is dark chocolate, coco, malted chocolate, caramel, and dark fruits. Taste is malted chocolate and dark fruits. Leans towards raspberry and blackberry without the acidity. Lighter medium bodied and a good caramel finish. Bitter in the front but very dark fruit and caramel dry in the end. Great stuff.

Pours an opaque black with a small sticky tan head with a little bit of lace up the glass. Aroma is roasted malts, dark dried fruits, cocoa, and dark chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, moderate bitterness, dark dried fruits, alcohol(pretty mild and takes a little warming to come out), caramel, coffee, chocolate and a nice moderately dry finish.

Pours an opaque black with a frothy brown head and some inky legs up the side. Aroma of chocolate, sweet oatmeal cookies, coffee, cocoa and a creamy latte. Taste is chocolate, alcohol, coffee, roasted malts and a nice smooth alcohol warming on the finish with a crisp bitterness from the roasted malts. Complex and well balanced, creamy and smooth... Great imperial stout!

Gut!

2015-03-12. Black body with a small tan head. 3++ Aroma is lightly roasty, modest fruity notes. Light cocoa and dusty malt notes. 7+ Flavour is rich dark malt, lightly bitter lingering cocoa roast. Smooth average plus to medium bodied palate, moderate carbonation. 3++ Pretty straightforward - perhaps deceptively so - but rather nice imperial stout. Bottle from the LCBO shared by HogtownHarry.

Bottle. English beer #1000! Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter roasted flavor. KLong heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. lacks some balance. A little disapointing, but still a nice brew.

Bottle of 50cl, boxed, in a pint glass; room temperature. Woaw, that was one of the best stout Iíve ever try. Great deep dark colour (the light wonít pass through it). Little creamy brown fuzzy head. Great and powerfull aroma of dark cherries; as the taste which is overhelmed by cherries and chocolate (with notes of roses). Go buy it ! Now !

Mar 2015 - 500ml, boxed, 10.7%, 2013 vintage. Black, big foamy tan head if forced. Head doesnít endure. Aroma is chocolate syrup, wholewheat bread, booze. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is liquorice forward, lots of bready malt, spice and booze, chocolate, grassy finish. None of the rose petal comes through. Very nice.
