COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mainly bottle conditioned; Special. Has been seen on cask.

Brewed in the traditional style that became a favourite royal court, this limited edition Imperial Stout has been specially created as a single brew. In a unique addition to the historic recipe, the floral character of the Centennial hops is enhanced by the inclusion of rose buds, lending a hint of Turkish delight flavour to the beer. This Imperial Stout has a rich, dark appearance with strong chocolate and deep cherry notes which lead to a lighter, bitter finish.

The (not so) shit beer tasting at Leightons stratospheric flat. Opaque dark brown beer with a good pale tan head. Palate is airy, light and semi dry. The dark malts are not too heavy and carry just a touch of roast. Little malt cream and blackcurrant fruits. Touch of coffee. Light mildy bitter finish. Very drinkable.

As Fuller Imperial Stout, bb 2023
Black color with brownish head, large and compact. The aroma is very nice, roasted malt, creamy, with milk cream and wood-oven bread. The body is lean, the mouthfeel smooth; good roasted malt flavor, with some firewood, very light smoke presence, and very light liquorice; correct bitterness level; well balanced overall.
Not very emotional nor innovative, yet a solid, clean and well brewed beer.

Bottle. As Imperial Stout, 10.7% ABV. Looking really sexy in the glass, with its dense, two-finger beige head leaving lacings and a pitch black body. Thereís some alcohol in the nose, but only at an appropriate level. Else itís roasted and chocolatey, with some molasses hints and smoke hints. Licorice too. Itís roasted and lightly sweet in the mouth, molasses, coffee and some alcohol in the flavor. Full body, dryish and lighlty warming. Pleasant carbonation. Lasting roasted finish with a certain warmth. A really pleasant one, tasteful and moreish, but not a beer you can drink a lot of. 131123
