An almost non existent aroma. Appearance is amber with a large head. Flavor is spicy? with some faint hops. A very soapy flavor. I can appreciate the English IPA's with less hops but this is not a good example. Can this really be made by the same folks who make London Porter and Vintage Ale? Hard to believe. Below average IPA.

Nice amber color and proper thick head start out a session with this beer. Hops are adequate but not over the top and are well balanced by the malt. A good refreshing beer but not for those who prefer an American style IPA.

Bottled. My good buddy Dake, just sorted this out from the Whole Foods Store. Lovely clear amber colour, with a nice semi-lacy head. Crisp and lovely malt flavours. Smooth and bread like in character. Very quaffable indeed. Drunk in NYC because Fullers want sell it in the UK. Fools!!!

Clear amber coloured, thick head. Malty aroma, some apple, not really impressive. Very nice flavour though, hops and malts in the right balance. Hopbitter finish. Thirst quenching, good beer.

Color is rich amber, like their London Pride. Malty aroma, with some delicious Goldings hops detected. Thin head, clinging lacing. English IPA, meaning there is plenty of malt flavor and some gentle balance from the Goldings hops, which taste so damn good. Maybe I just needed a break from the grapefruit/pine-sol attack of some american IPA's. Sorry, hopheads. Light body and low alcohol. Tastes great, but overpriced for the end result. Aftertaste reminds me of buttermilk biscuits.

A good English IPA that has the biscuit flavor I always associate with Fullers. Lots of lacing, starts big but finishes a little small; my only disappointment.

Light golden color, with lasting white head. Pleasant hop aroma mixed with butterscotch. Pleasant malt flavor, with light hop balance, and a slight butterscotch note. Very drinkable and likeable.

The difference between an english IPA and an american IPA is huge. English IPA's are much milder beers compared to their american counterparts.

Pours a pretty standard amber with a nice frothy white head, leaving good amount of lace. Small malt nose with a little hop aroma. Big malt body starts the flavors and finishes with small hops. Nothing too significant.
