3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Alcoholist (570) - Peoria, USA - MAR 11, 2004
Colour is golden amber with a frothy head dissolving to a coat of lace. Nose is malt with a crisp green apple smell. Flavour is clean and bitter and well hopped. I really like this beer. It does however make me marvel at how far the Brittish have strayed from the original IPA style. The American IPAs with their heavy hopping and high alcohol content tend towards the original IPA (though are still far lower in both IBU and ABV than the original beer shipped from England to India). In addition to producing a well crafted brew, Fullers seems to be tipping it's hat to the true nature of an IPA, and for that I salute them.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mzaar (445) - Varberg, SWEDEN - MAY 23, 2012
Härligt ljusorange skum, som varar länge. Doftar mycket beska. Har också fin beska i smaken, men också en viss vattnighet. Detta gör att ölen känns lite tunn... lite avslagen. Men på det stora hela; helt okey.

From tp at Copenhagen Beer Festival: fresh and complex with hints of oranges and raspberries. Well balanced. Splendid stuff, could easily sink a few at a classic English pub!
