Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours amber slightly hazy, with a white head that settles to a thin film on the beer. Aroma is classic Fullerís stuff, flowers, honey, citrus. Of all british beers, I think Fullerís may have the most lovely aroma of them all. The taste is more ordinary. The goldings hops play first violin with the malty backing from crystal malts, but it makes it slightly one dimensional. Compared to the Pride and the ESP, in between which IPA is sandwiched, the increased bitterness is not matched with an equal increase of caramel malts, thus the beer is weighs over to the bitterside and fails establishing the balance we are accustomed to with Pride and ESP.

Bottle @ De Tolly Joogipood. Pours copper orange with small head. Aroma is fruity and hoppy, citrus, apricot. Taste is low to medium bitter, med sweet, fruity, citrus, watery. Medium body. I hoped more of this beer but its drinkable good beer.

Amber with a slight bit of haze and a white head. Caramel and a touch of grass and lemon in the aroma with more of the same as well as a bit of raisin in the flavor. Itís slightly sweet but well balanced. Nothing like an American IPA, however, while I have not had many English IPAs, I suspect this is a good one. Very drinkable while still being interesting.

A fizzy type of an IPA, clear light amber colored beer with a fizzy white head. It is an ok IPA but nothing special. If you want a great IPA you should stick to the american IPAs.

Red shining golden color, minimal head. Smell of red berries. Taste is quite flat for an IPA, maybe bottle was too old (approx. 3 month). Very high carbonation. Average

The English might have invented the IPA, but I think the Americans have really taken it to my favourite form. This beer is decent, but I prefer American-style. The English hops used have a earthy, herbal flavour. Resin. Very different to floral and fruity American-style hops. Pleasant enough.

Orange, copper, a small head but very good retention and lacing. Slightly fruity, floral aroma and flavor, spicy and a little bit of citric-bitterness. It has a dry aftertaste and medium body. A very crisp beer, has a lot of drinkability, smooth also. A classic english IPA.

"slightly fruity and sweet, slightly grassy, and light bodied and gently bitter at the swallow. not generally the style of ipa i gravitate towards, but not bad either."

Orangebrun klar med hÝyt beige skum som legger seg fort. Lite bitterhet i lukten, mest karamelltomer. Mer bitterhet i smak, humle, blomster og noe sÝtlig brent karamellsmak. medium kullsyre.
