3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 HogTownHarry (5638) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - NOV 17, 2009
Cask. At Volo Cask Days 2009. Clear gold pour with a solid white head. Floral hop and slightly sweet canola grain aroma, quite pungent and fresh - the taste follows, with an odd bit of acetone harshness, but still plenty of fresh cereal grain - and a really welcome funky dry hoppiness kicks in after a few seconds, this is surprisingly bitter. Chewy, bitter mouthfeel, decent carbonation, with a long grainy/herbal-acidic finish. The acetone sharpness detracts a bit, but overall a solid brew.

[2568-20091031] Cask. Fresh grass soap hops aroma. Clear, medium orange body with a quick white bubbly head. Soapy orange grass hops flavour is a little bitter. Medium body. Wow, great balance overall if you ignore that soapy quality.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Slacks (615) - Bolton, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2009
Cask Days 2009 @ Bar Volo, Toronto, ON: Pours amber, good beige head for a cask. Citrusy hops strong in the aroma, they seem to stand alone. That seem citrus hop note comes through in the flavour, lighter than possibly expected (unless you took a glance at the IBUs) but little malty sweetness to balance. It’s good, but happy to note some of our local Ontario brewers had IPAs that I enjoyed more.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jercraigs (6477) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2009
2009-10-31. Orange amber body with a small beige head. 3+ Mild pleasant aroma of fruity hops, light citrus. Flavour is similar, light fruity citrus, modest bitterness throughout. Average palate is just a touch light for my preference. Quite quaffable, pleasant. Cask at Volo Cask Days 2009

Cask: Orange-golden, small lacy off-white foam, solid dry hoppy nose, balanced by a distinctive juicy-malty background; robust - mainly dry - bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; lingering dry hoppy finish, rounded by fruity-malty influences. Fine Fullers quality, as usual........
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 ladnewton (1142) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2009
Cask at the Royal Standard, Croydon, Surrey, England on 29th September 2009. Amber colour with whitish head leaving a little lacing. Sweet, malty with hops quite moderate. Some fruitiness and a slightly sweet, textured finish on soft carbonation. Whilst not tasting like IPAs I have drunk in the States or elsewhere, it is nevertheless a reasonably drinkable strong ale.
