rkuhnel (1148), Eureka, California, USA Jul 9, 2008 This was hiding in the back of my beer cellar, and I think it has been there a while. Poured a rich ruby color with a nice white head, and good lacing. Smells fresh, with nose of citrus hops and light malts, Smooth mouthfeel. Flavor of caramel malts and citrus hops, and the finish in long and nicely bitter. Good. jjpm74 (3160), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Jul 8, 2008 Pours copper with a decent white head. Smells of hay, pepper, tea, caramel. Tastes of caramel, some underlying bitterness, lots of grassy qualities. Not much going on here. DuffMan (1962), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jun 3, 2008 I’m not sure how this rating sneaked past me, but I found my notes scribbled on the back of the peeled label in my disorganized collection. Anyway, this poured a clear orange amber with a moderate white head. Mostly sweet and earthy malt aroma, with the earthy and floral hop character rounding out the palate. fro2218 (465), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 3, 2007 Copper in color. Grassy green hops in aroma. Malty, caramel, and green hops in flavor. Fairly pleasant. RSRIZZO (1027), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 26, 2007 Had this beer on 1/23/2003. Aroma is very light for an IPA with only a faint scent of malt. Color is a pale golden brown, carbonation is light with a good head. Taste is lightly malty and bitter. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a mild crisp bite. Finish comes on with an imported malt taste that is followed by a moderate bitterness and a very faint hop flavor. There is basically no hop flavor, the bitterness is bland and not much flavor on the malt. Just not a good Pale.
