2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2007 Clear, still and reddish. Thinning swirls of froth. Gently leafy hop aroma. Creamy and sweet with a firm hop bitterness. Lingers with a slightly sickly biscuity malt sweetness. Blackberries lurking distantly in the background. Jammy dodgers in beer form.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, Tesco. Attractive ruby-toned copper with a cap of rough off-white. Smells of caramel warmth, soft berries, and some rye bread/earthiness. Plumy sweetness, dark bread, just a mild berry flavor, fairly dry finish. A pleasant surprise.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 500ml. A light reddish-brown colour with an average size head. Aroma is malty with some sweet citrus. Taste is malty with lots of caramel, some bread, hops, citrus fruits and just a little blackberry. Slightly sour. Moderate carbonation. An acidic citrus finish. Not something Iíd buy again.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, pours a beautifully clear red/amber colour with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, a bit like golden syrup - only a hint of berry. A bit syrupy again in the taste, but this changes quite abit through the swallow as the bitterness increases and the blackberries grow in presence. Saved itself a little in the end, but overall fairly average.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, picked up from the brewery shop quite a long while ago. Reddy/Brown in colour no head to speak of. Aroma was fruity and malty, taste pretty much as I expected crisp, fruity, with blackberries certainly in evidence, bit bitter and some sweetness, fine enough.
