Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Aroma of caramel, chocolate pudding and whipped cream. Appearance is dark brown with creamy head. Flavor matches the nose: a nice caramel malt base with chocolate flavors, very pudding-like. Palate is creamy. Solid porter.

Standard roasted, malty aroma. Dark brown color with decent head. Bit of a burnt flavor. Finally something decent from fullers!

Pint at The Barking Dog. Tastes pretty solid (and sort of smoky). This is the kind of porter you can put back two at a time. A little tang left over in the finish to remind you it’s a porter.

500ml bottle. Pours a thick creamy head as expected. With the a body of straight coffee and desert coffee on the nose. This is all roast with some sweets just as I would have guessed. A hearty bitter on aftertaste not everyone would fancy.

On draft at International Beer Garten in Lutz, FL. Pours amber-copper with a thick, mealy off-white head. Nose is malt, caramel, slight bitter, slight biscuit, and a slight toast/ roast. Flavor is pretty nice for a Brit beer: roast, malt, slight sweetness: fruity, but dark like there is some chocolate present. Biscuity all over like a good British beer should be. Full bodied for a porter. Very nice overall.

12 oz bottle. Dark brown body with little head. Smells of toffee, roasty, dates and chocolates. Flavors of roasted malts, some chocolate/cocoa, toffee and berry(?). Surprisingly thin body and slight mouthfeel. Slight, dark chocolate, bitter finish. Not as complex and "complete" as I would have thought it should be.

Serving type: 500ml can, Poured a dark molases like, with a 1" off white foam head. Tasted like very strong coffee, which is ok with me. There was also a light burnt and dark chocolate taste to it. Overall a very good beer.

Very good! Pours a nice deep rich dark amber/brown, with a thin creamy head. Has a nice subtle nutty/coffee aroma.Thick texture with a chocolate and a hint of hops taste. Well-crafted and very enjoyable.
