Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Bottle from double D. Clear and very dark ruby red with a moderate tan head that fades back into said ruby rather quickly. Aroma of dark chocolate, molasses, brown sugar and mild soy sauce. Taste of dark malt, mild chocolate and brown sugar, light coffee and mild hops. Fuller bodied than most porters but not terribly flavorful.

Pours black with some off white head. Faint chocolate coffee aroma. Body is not as thick as some other porters of this quality. Best thing about this beer was the flavor, which was very chocolaty with a hint of coffee and hops. This is a great porter and something I would suggest to check out.

Bottle, 50cl. Pours a black beer with a brown head. The aroma is roasted with chocolate and notes of coffee. The flavor is bitter chocolate, followed by a roasted and hoppy bitterness. The palate is dry. Overall a very nice porter.

pitch black with mild white head. sweet malt and some roasty scents to the nose. carbonation is moderate for style. some hop bitterness initially then a lot of caramel sweetness that perfectly blends into some roasty flavors, likely from black patent, which fades into some chocolate notes before a long drawn out finish from some residual sugars and yeasty esters. first class all the way, the best brown porter i’ve had with remarkable depth for only 5.4 ABV. amazing

Colore scuro, con uno spesso strato di schiuma marrone. Aroma di luppolo e malto torrefatto, lieve nota di caffè.In bocca è praticamente un cappuccino, sapore di malto e caffè.Non molto amara se non nel finale.Ottima birra scura.

Very nice dark beer, have yet to pour in a glass, but the aroma is mild. Plenty of maltiness to the taste. Can taste the roast. Not as heavy as some of this style, but a mild porter is still a porter.

Aweseome one, a little sweet a little bitter. It was a marvel when I drank it. And slept like a baby.

Very dark ruby red / black beer with a huge deep tan rocky head and really good lacing. Aroma is appealing with its strong bitter coffee beans and a good ammount of chocolate (a little on the powerdery side). Lots of flavour: bitter roasted coffee beans / malt and some chocolate with a touch of hops (really weak). The alcohol and bitterness blend together well. This is really tasty! For me, the mouthfeel was not terrible but just subpar and not to my liking. Slick, too smooth - don’t really like the feel of the hops. Short lived aftertaste. Very good beer none the less.
