Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Pours deep brown with a tan head. Nutty, subtle chocolate flavor. Slightly thin body, but the flavors stay on your palate nonetheless. Very solid.

500ml botle. Pours a very dark brown, head is tan. Malty hoppy nose. Great malty taste and a nice bitterness. Loved this beer from the cask years ago, love itfrom the bottle now.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is deep milk chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Big roasted malts...chocolate, coffee, some nuttiness. This almost feels like it should be drank hot. Bitter hop bite at the end to balance out the flavor. Well done.

Poured from Can into Pint glass. Pours a deep brown that has mahogany edges with a creamy light tan head. Aroma is full of milk chocolate, vanilla and a dash of coffee. The flavor has dark chocolate, cocoa nibs, some coffee and nuttiness but its smooth. Its a medium-bodied beer that is slightly chewy but its definitely an easy drinker. This is a classy beer, extremely drinkable and would love to try this on-tap.

Fantastic pour. The brown malt is balanced nicely with the rich sweetness of the crystal. By BJCP standards, this is a perfect example of the Brown Porter substyle.

Pours a characteristic almost black with small dark tan head. Aroma obvious of coffee, chocolate, and a bit of cream. Flavor matches with the addition of dark dried fruits, but missing that complexity I was hoping for in this. Nice drink nonetheless.

On tap at the Bier Stein. Dark brown pour with a thick cap of tan foam. Big chocolate and coffee aroma, a little bit of hop at the back. Flavor is very roasty, with some nice chocolate bits and a bitter chocolate finish. Medium bodied and delicious.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick tan head, of good duration, minimal lacing, over a dark (SRM 30) clear body.....Nose heavy with aromas of roasted malts, with coffee, cocoa, chocolate, mild molasses, minimal hop floral....tastes of rich malts, again with coffee cocoa, finishing with mild hop bitterness....mouth feel rich and chewy.....a wonderful brown porter. Meets the BJCP criteria in every way.
