Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Pours a characteristic almost black with small dark tan head. Aroma obvious of coffee, chocolate, and a bit of cream. Flavor matches with the addition of dark dried fruits, but missing that complexity I was hoping for in this. Nice drink nonetheless.

On tap at the Bier Stein. Dark brown pour with a thick cap of tan foam. Big chocolate and coffee aroma, a little bit of hop at the back. Flavor is very roasty, with some nice chocolate bits and a bitter chocolate finish. Medium bodied and delicious.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick tan head, of good duration, minimal lacing, over a dark (SRM 30) clear body.....Nose heavy with aromas of roasted malts, with coffee, cocoa, chocolate, mild molasses, minimal hop floral....tastes of rich malts, again with coffee cocoa, finishing with mild hop bitterness....mouth feel rich and chewy.....a wonderful brown porter. Meets the BJCP criteria in every way.

Bottle. Dark dark brown with a medium tan head that sticks around for a bit. Tons of roasty toasty malt in the aroma, in the form of coffee, chocolate, whatever else you want that smells nice. Flavor has a lot of the coffee with a good chocolaty finish, complemented nicely by a small bite of hops at the end. The only criticism I have is that I wish the body were just a bit thicker. Then again, though, it’s a porter, not a stout. Great beer, anyways.

Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. Amazing aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, molasses, and a little hop character. Flavor is similar. Not over the top and extremely well blended. A nice porter.

Smells sweet and roasty. Pours with great head and dark with a lot of light at the seams. Tastes roasty and creamy. A decent stout but lacks some complexity.

Milldly roasty milk chocolate aroma, chewy coffee chocolate taste, nice soft creamy body. Used to love this and it is still very good.

Pours black with a medium tan head. Strong aroma of french roast coffee, some dark chocolate. Flavor is mostly coffee, malt, dark chocolate, toasty. Finish is a nice chocolate bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Would be great with a chocolate desert or cookies.
