Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Pours a deep ruby red with a nice medium light tan head with just a touch of lace. The aroma is nice nutty roasty and full of sweet malt. The flavor is even nicer with lots of chocolate molasses and a pronounced nuttiness There are some good balancing hops here but this is much more about the delicious roasty malts. A very nice porter indeed.

Can... Poured deep brown with a big, khaki head. Roasted aroma of coffee beans, cocoa and malts. Soft, smooth and creamy palate with noticeable coffee notes up front cocoa malts and nutty, earthy hops. Chocolate, mocha and coffee in the finish.

A dark brown with a thick tan head. More coffee than chocolate with a slight "off" biterness (not hops). Also, had a slightly gritty mouthfeel. Not bad but not the best porter.

On tap at C4. Dark brown body, with almost no head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt and some chocolate. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, hops and hints of tobacco. Better than expected.

100th rating: I thought about rating the most unsignificant beer but I went with a world class beer instead. I was sure it would be highly rated on the site but maybe not that much. It is indeed the best porter I ever had yet. Aroma of those "brown sweet gummy tool candies" (!), coffee and smoked malt. Although the taste is deliciously chocolaty (dark) and fruity, and then coffeish with a lot of espresso-like bitterness in the aftertaste, all these well-balanced flavors wouldn’t be as impressive without its rich and creamy texture. I made a rather long car trip in order to get it... I should have bought more than 3! 3,65$ for a 500 ml bottle.

Dark brown with medium tan head. Aroma roasty, malty with lots of coffee and chocolate. Taste is medium bitter, some sour chocolate and lots of coffee. Good body and a nice finish. Not very complex but a good beer nonetheless. A

pour is a dense black with a foamy finger high head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Palate is a bit smooth....but I need to remind myself its not an Imp. stout...Light notes of milk chocolate, coffee and very faint hints of dark fruit. A bit of nut flavor hiding in there. Good.

Bottle courtesy of hellbilly. Deep brown color pour with some red highlights and a small tan head. Roasted malt, coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Flavor is big on cocoa and dark roast coffee. A bit of bitterness on the finish. Very nice. Thanks Josh!
