Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Bottle. Pours clear dark reddish brown with a 2 finger dense tan head that results in chunky lacing. The nose is milk chocolate and roasted malt. The taste is ashy cocoa, chocolate, roasted malt and burnt coffee beans. Medium creamy mouthfeel. Good porter.

Bottle. Pours with a thick tan head. Plenty of a mild sweet, roasted aroma. Loads of dark coffee and a hint of dark chocolate. The beer finishes with a firm dark chocolate bitterness.

Very delicious. Let the beer warm so that it brings-out the coffee and chocolate flavors. Always on my good list.

Finally getting around to rating this classic. Pour is medium to dark brown with a small tan head that fades. Aroma and flavor of caramel malt, roasted malt, and smoke. Very English tasting. Good, but not my favorite cup of tea.

Beautiful in color. Touch of caramel on the nose @ first sniff. Complex flavors of coffee, caramel, and a hint of smoke fill up the entire palate front to back. A fine, fine English Porter.

I feel like it has been FOREVER since my last rating, and I am pumped about his one. So here it goes: (Bottle) Pours a very dark brown with a thin brownish white head. Looks wonderfully delicious. A sugary aroma, with a bit of coffee and choc coming through. Sweet and brown. A bitter-sweet burst of complexity upon my first sip. Well-balanced with a medium body. Creamy and very refreshing. Such a great, smooth brew. Will certainly purchase again.

Pours almost black with thin white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is chocolate and malty sweetness with a slight hop character for balance . Full bodied and creamy. Tastes of chocolate sweetness and roasted malt bitterness to balance.

Creamy beige head, deep brown colour, lacing. Aroma is heavily roasted, dark chocolate, coffee and brown sugar. Flavour is roasted sweet and plenty of coffee and chocolate. The flavour is very well balanced and yet intriguing. Mouthfeel is very very smooth with small bubbles and it is almost a bit oily. This is a great porter, met my expectations and then some!
