Bottle. Pours black with opaque shine and small cream head. Aroma is very nice and balanced with roasty malts, light liquorice, some raisins and bread crust. Taste is more fruity, roasty malts, bready, light one, yet really nice! Full body compared to abv and really smooth. Long roasty finish with some liquorice.

Poured from a large bottle. Appearance is khaki head that retains a finger width, and is frothy, dark brown hues. Aroma is sweet and toasted malt. Taste is very dark roasted malt and milky. Palate is a watered-down milkshake. Overall, I wanted to like this more than i really did, especaily since its so highly rated and i usually love the style.

Arômes maltés, torréfiés, tourbés, légère amertume picante et poivrée. En bouche : chocolat, raisins mûrs, cacao légèrement amer. Pas mal du tout.

Vastly overrated in my opinion. I know people love it, but it just doesn’t do it for me.

0,5 l can. Black reddish colour, not much foam. Aroma is good amounts of coffee, chocolate, malt. Taste starts off slightly waterish which might suggest the thin body. After a while, the coffee and chocolate kicks in which eventually leave a nice aftertaste. A good porter for the abv.

Black-reddish color, brown foam. Not long lasting head. Aromas of chocolate and roasted notes, some malt sweetness. Taste pretty similar, very smooth, balanced bitterness. Just love it

Bottle from SB. Very nice taste and aroma, like raisins and chocolate. Easy to drink, but not as powerful taste as imperial porters.

Bottle. Clear dark reddish brown colour with a small beige head. Rich aroma with notes of caramel, coffee and dark roasted malts. The taste is medium sweet with notes of roasted malts. It is good, but it does not fully deliver on what the aroma seems to promise. Light body, average carbonation, and a long and bitter finish. A good porter.
