3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 50cl. Pours with a dark red and brown color - mostly towards the latter. Thin, but creamy - cappuccino-ish - brown head. Aroma is a complex-rich mixture of clear chocolate notes, roasted malt, caramel, Liqurice, toffee, coffee, some earthy notes, hints of dust, woods and breads. Flavor follows the nose with some variations. The sweetness of roasted malt is balanced with proper, and more present earthy note - along a weak bitterness in the dry end. Chocolate as well. Not that dominant as in the nose. Soft to average carbonation. Medium bodied. Great variety nothing too dominated, albeit nothing particular worth mentioning. Just plain good Porter!

4.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Roasty/burnt flavor along with coffee, fades into a creamy chocolate milk taste. An excellent porter, one of my favorites.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: Very weak, coffiee, roasty, maybye some herbs from hops.
Apperance: Almost black, but clear beer, with small head reducing to small ring.
Taste: Beer is dry with proper bitterness. Beer has very nice flavour, i can feel some cocoa and coffiee.
Nice palate - light body, thin texture proper for light beer. Weak carbonation makes it very drinkable.
Nice, drinkable beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle - Dark Reddish-Brown, almost Black, in colour. Very Malty; roast/burnt malt, lots of dark bitter chocolate & espresso coffee with cream, caramel, toffee & burnt sugar. Sweet roasted malts balanced by an earthy bitter hop edge, giving a nice sweet/bitter balance. Rich, smooth, complex and full-bodied. Long roast malt and bitter chocolate finish. Fantastic beer!

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
50cl new straight bottle. Pours dark brown, with brown head. Dark malts, caramel, chocolate and everything that is promised is there. A good complex brew, but the texture and the body of the batch, that is bbe 30/11/2014 is just awful. I know, that it varies from batch to batch, but this time it looses to Local Estonian porters in price/quality. Expected much more from top 5 porter. Will seek it on tap in London and rerate.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Brun/Svart med lavt skum. Aroma av lakris, mild sjokolade og mild kaffe. Litt anonym. Smaken er vesentlig mer interessant, her er det kaffe og lakris, samt mild sjokolade og ristet malt. Medium konsistens. Mild bitterhet.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a black-brownish hue, with a one-finger cappuccino-like head. At nose classic smells of toasted malt with a bit of butterscotch. It is very well carbonated and also it leaves a nice lacing around the glass. At mouth is a bit watery, with a nice long lasting bittersweet finish. Aroma is dominated by the traditional flavours of roasted and medium roasted malts, like nuts, caramel, toffee. Overall is a nice porter, though the bottled version seems lacking of body and character, compared to the fresh cask one.
