Aroma of roasted peanuts over slightly sweet malt. Appaears a brown-reddish color with a dark tan head. Flavor is roasted peanuts, roast coffee, a slight malty sweetness. Palate is light, smooth, somewhat still, yet somehow appropriate. Overall, this beer is greater than the sum of is parts, though I donít seem to be quite as taken by it as the average rater.

Bottled. Pours a dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts, bread, hints of coffee and chocholate. Taste is dry, roasted malts, bitter chocholate, and just a hint of ground coffee. Medium bodied, and a long roasted aftertaste

On draught. Thick and dark with a creamy head. Very smooth, very chocolatelyÖ.some smokiness. Goes down nice and easy. Despite being so heavy looking, itís quite refreshing even on a balmy summer night in Florida.

To me, this is the reference standard when it comes to porters. roasted malty aromas and flavors and a long lasting creamy head make this beer a joy to savor and drink with a good friend!

Bottle from Sainsbury. Really dark ruby colour, lasting tanhead, lovely roasted malt aromas and flavours, choc/coffee, not too sweet, with dry grainy charcoal finish. Good dark beer with some acids on end and touch of liquorice

Bottle poured a clear brownish black with a brown head and brussels lace.Aromas of mocha, coffee and roasted malt. Palate is smooth and creamy. Flavors of cocoa, and roasted malt then the coffee flavor sneaks in the finish. A decent porter but Ive had better.

Smoky aroma. Dark thick appearance, white head. Lasting carbonation. Smooth flavor. Moderate carbonation, moderate aftertaste. Not a bad drop. Very drinkable.

pours a dark brown/amber color... mildly carbonated.. very smooth a little watery for a porter... has a nice scent but not a heavy one... a lil toffee in flavor... I enjoy it... itís pretty smooth... Iím however at a bit of a loss as far as descriptive words go.
