Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Bottle at the Winking Lizard Crosswoods location. Pours dark brown with some white head. Rich roasty flavor. Very malty and bock-ish, but has some coffee aroma as well. Flavor is coffee and chocolate with a dry hop finish. Just what a porter should be.

(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, on 2008-12-13) Almost black. Clear. Dense and long lasting a little bit tan coloured head. Roastedness and coffee in nose. Full bodied and dryish palate with medium carbonation. Coffee, roastedness, bitterness, liquorice and coffee with milk in taste. Fine porter.

Aroma is filled with coffee and chocolate. The color is dark brown, with a small head that disipates quickly, the body is moerate and is well balanced between the coffee and chocolate malts, very smooth with a slight aftertaste of coffee. Not overpowering at all.

50cl Bottle. Deep dark brown to black colour, light beige head. Aroma of chocolate, cocoa, liquorice, roasted malts. Flavour is malty, liquorice, roasted coffee bitterness, moccha, cocoa. Slightly sweet with a bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied. Good stuff. 7 4 8 3 16. Re-rate: On tap at In de Wildeman. A bit more roasted flavours come through. Very well balanced, really nice flavours and texture. Outstanding porter. 8 4 8 4 16

Taste is very caramely and chocoatey. Has a very candy-like aroma. Sweet, sugary and smooth like candy.

500 ml bottle. Finland. Dark brown almost black colour with creamy soapy beige head. Aroma very much coffee and hints of chocolate. Very smooth and creamy coffee flavour with some roasted malts. It is very pleasant even if I do not like coffee. Excellent porter.

Can. Pours a nice dark brown with a creamy lasting forever head. The aroma is a nice mix of English Malts, chocolate, and nutty. Chocolate, English malts, sweetness, and roasted nuts. Some lingering medium sweet chocolate. Creamy and smooth. Incredibly drinkable. I could drink this all the time, everyday, with every meal. Like water.

500mL Bottle as i the picture. Dark almost black Porter. Malty aroma, definately chocolate detected. Very smooth and creamy in the mouth, initial taste of mixed malts, with the chocolate the lingering and dominate one. Sweet finish. Not nearly complex enough to be one of the better Porters.
