Nov 20, 2008 Draft at Pub Italia in Ottawa. Beautiful deep brownish-black appearance, topped by a nice beige head. Aroma and flavour match, an exquisite example of malts and a nutty accent with hints of chocolate and coffee. Excellent.

Nov 3, 2008 On tap. Pours umber with a finger of lacey mocha head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, roast coffee, and mellifluous malt. Toasty chocolate malt, caramel, toffee, subtle dark fruits, roast coffee, and a soft hop presence. Palate was creamy and smooth. Even better as it warmed up.

Nov 1, 2008 This is a dark brown beer with its appealing bubbly head. It was smooth on the palate with a rich, warming flavour of chocolate and toasty malts. More sweet than bitter, it had a slight smokiness.

Oct 30, 2008 Near black with a tan head. Nice chocolaty sweet, roasted malt aroma. Smooth medium body. Robust blackened malt flavor with rich milk chocolate. Drys out some for the finish. Classic Porter.

Oct 29, 2008 Updated: Jul 20, 2009500ml Bottle - Very dark brown, almost black with a tan head. Chocolatey aroma with some nice roasted malt notes. Fairly rich taste with chocolate, roasted malt and a creamy element with a bitter chocolatey and roasted finish. The aftertaste lingers and is very pleasant. A great porter.

Oct 28, 2008 Belting porter. chocolate aroma and a bit of bread crust. Nice mouthfilling roast grain with a hint of sweetness. Delicious.
