Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Looks like Black Gold. Rich and complex. Here is a suggestion, try it in a cognac snifter, sounds strange, but I did this once and it actually brought out some subtle flavors..like cinnamon and hazlenut, and accented the chocolate tones. I love this stuff, definitely in my top five

Poured from a tap a dark brown. Wow this stuff is fantastic. Tastes a lot like a mocha blend coffee. This is the best porter that I have tried.

Had a while back. Pours dark ruby brown with tan head. Aroma is malt, molassas, caramel and some toffee. Flavor is smooth and creamy with hints of burnt malts and some caramel and toffee. Nice porter and an all time classic.

Not as bitter as many stouts are. I was surprised by the complete lack of head. Appearance: Very dark brown. Nice amount of tan head. Aroma: Coffee, smoke and dark malt. Hint of chocolate. Taste: smoke and coffee.

Pours a very dark brown with some ruby highlights if held up to the light. Little head, and the aroma is mostly chocolate and coffee, more so chocolate. Taste is leaning more towards the coffee though. Very similar to a coffee or oatmeal stout in my opinion, but it’s very enjoyable and does not disappoint.
