Jun 28, 2008 Really enjoyed this one!!! Dark bitter chocolate, roasted malt & coffee in the nose. Appearance is old leather with a thick eggshell head. Flavor is oak, roasted coffee and the chocolate is extremely rich. Somewhat thin compared to others, this is still a classic.

Jun 28, 2008 Yes indeed. This is a sexy beer. Black/Brown with a beige head. The aroma is just a mild tease compared to the fullness of the flavor.Which is nice and smooth with an abundant roasted malt taste. Hints of chocolate and coffee aswell. Reall good, not nearly as sweet as some porters ive had.

Jun 27, 2008 Un excellent porter qui combine (ce qui est plutôt rare pour une bière noire) les goûts de chocolat et de café et ce en 2 étapes bien distinctes en bouche et laisse, en finale un léger goût maltée. Elle possède un léger col et elle est plutôt crémeuse pour un Porter. On en redemande, croyez-moi!

This is what I’ve been imagining a good porter to taste like - quite sweet with hints of chocolate, coffe, roasted malt and some sea salt (which I tend to find in many stout/porters). Well, it’s really good however. Fuller’s is a very good brewery, I must say.

Jun 24, 2008 500mL can purchased from LCBO in Toronto. Pours a dark brown with a bit of white head. Light malty aroma. First taste is nice, with a solid roasted malt and chocolate flavours. Nice roasty aftertaste. The canned version recently fared poorly at a blind porter and stout tasting at C’est What - but its competition was against mainly draught offerings.

Jun 23, 2008 Nearly black, with a moderate tan head. Enough body and complexity to keep me interested. Not bad, considering I’m an Imperial Stout fan.

Jun 20, 2008 A very nice porter. Tastes of bitter chocolate, coffee and ash. Finish is slightly bitter with a smoke aftertaste.
