Apr 18, 2008 (Bottle) Poured thick with a creamy, off white head that stuck around for a minute, as does everything with this beer. Scent of deeply roasted malts made my mouth water. Complex, hearty, perfectly balanced taste with a thick, creamy mouthfeel that stayed with me long after the beer was gone. Possibly the best representation of what I want from a beer. I’ll let you know if I find a better one!

Apr 16, 2008 Updated: Aug 2, 2008(ENGLAND) Dark brown color with a dissipating sm-tan head. Aroma of chocolate / coffee with a rich mocha taste, with some carbonation.There is a slightly bitter finish to this one but extremely well balanced. This my friends is the real deal !!!! :) Get some.

Apr 16, 2008 Updated: Oct 3, 2008bottle. pours a very dark brown with ruby highlights around the edges, small tan head. smells like freshly roasted coffee beans and toffee. lovely roasted malt/espresso taste balanced by a smooth feel in the mouth. finishes bitter and roasted. oh my, I could drink these all night!

Apr 15, 2008 Wow, is that... coffee in my porter? It is! All porters have that smell but this is the one that smells like a coffee with milk in it. Great color. SMooth taste. Little weak in the mouth. So malty and coffee, mildly bitter, just great. I’d give it more points if it didn’t die on my tongue.

Apr 13, 2008 Updated: Aug 27, 2009Strong aroma of coffee and roasted malts. Very roasted flavor, definitely a large coffee presence. Flavor is predominately coffee laced with bittersweet chocolate. Mouthfeel is very creamy and smooth. Finish is slightly dry with minimal bitterness. Fantastic porter overall.

Apr 12, 2008 Bouteille brune de 500 ml. Arômes de céréales rôties. On note aussi une légère touche de café et une présence discrète de houblon. Robe noire aux reflets rouges, légèrement translucide et peu effervescente. Belle complexité en bouche oû l’on retrouve la torréfaction ainsi qu’une présence de cacao. Le houblon rend la finale légèrement amère. Très bon

Apr 5, 2008 Nice average porter. I’m not as thrilled as it appears others are about this beer. It has a nice appearance dark brown with a nice white head. The aroma is a nice chocolate malt smell. The flavor is of chocolate and coffee.

Apr 2, 2008 Updated: Sep 4, 2008LCBO can. Dark redish brown/black with a thick off-white head that slowly thins. Chocolate aroma. Mocha taste, easy drinking, pleasant and lasting mocha after-taste. Not too dry, not too swet, nice blend. I’d like to taste a higher alcohol version of this, that would be awesome.
