Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

ok head, ok lacing, beautiful almost black coloration- reddish tints visible in the depths. aroma has espresso, chocolate, malts- beautiful porter smell. taste compounds the aspects of the aroma into a multi-faceted masterpiece- so enjoyable i didn’t want to put it down to type this rating. palate is remarkably smooth, can almost feel subtle coffee massaging your tongue. awesome beer.

Pours with a small, light brown head. Decent retention in the form of a ring around the glass. Ultra dark brown body. Aroma is of vanilla and coffee. Taste is a nice balance of bitter coffee and hops. Mouthfeel is creamy with just a hint of lively carbonation. A decent porter, but I think this is a bit overated.

500 ml bottle. Maedium head is quite creamy, durable and brown in colour. Liquid is very dark brown, almost black. Heavy roasted malts and caramel in malts. Also some good coffee aromas. Lots of carbonatioin, which highlights roastiness. Very enjoyable balance of sweet caramel and dry bitter and roastiness in the finish. Strong and deep aromas make this a diverse porter with lots of character.

Dark brown, tanned quite creamy head. Immense coffee and chocolatey nose. Flavour is malty, heavy on coffee, some cocoa. Finishes with some roasted bitterness. Medium bodied, nicely round palate. Easy and tasty porter.

There is a lovely chocolate scent from this beer when poured and it is quite noticeable on the palate.well balanced with plenty of dryness in the finish.

Smokey! I lve this beer for it’s complex start that holds steady through the finish. Big think dark head, pours dark, aroma is smokey and roasted malt. Flavor is rich and creamy, with a bit of dryness at the end. You can really taste the the quality going into this.

Pours an opaque black color with a milk chocolate colored brown head. Aroma is great of roasted malt... very rich and chocolatey with caramel and coffee as well. Flavor is creamy and smooth with roasted coffee and chocolate flavors as well as a slight hop bitterness. On tap.
