Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Draft, pours a very dark almost black color with a thin tan head. Great aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, licorice & smoke. Very full flavor with a nice slightly bitter aftertaste.

Poured a dark clear mahogeny brown with red highlights. The head was thin and disappeared quickly. The aroma was chocolate and smokey. The flavor was initially a smokey flavor then I picked up on chocolate and roasted coffee. There was a nice long finish to the beer with a slightly bitter undertone that lasted well. It had a bit of a dry finish. This was very good

Dark red/black beer with nice off white head. Wonderful fruity/coffee/woody aroma! Very smooth and crisp! This is the real deal! Velvety smooth and easy to drink. It has a kind of a smoky taste and nice crisp bitter finish.

Draft. Nice roasty, straight ahead porter. Smells of roasted coffee. Dark near-black color, small head. Extremely easy drinking and a clean, smokey finish. Perfectly balanced and refreshing.

Very drinkable beer. Color is a near black. It was thinner than I expected but held its flavor well. This was of roasted malt and some slight chocolate. The hops peek through to enhance this nice brew.

Draught. Nose is smoke and chocolate. Deep black color with a thin creme-colored head. Robust and flavorful, lots of chocolate malt character. Very smooth and drinkable.

A full pour, dark brown and tan solid head..aroma of chocolate malts, some yeast, and faint fruit tones. Low carbonated, and extremely smooth and creamy...slightly bitter on the aftertaste, but very pleasant. However, tastes a bit light as well for a porter without the richness of many other porters i’ve tried. I would prefer it with a little more weight..but that being said, still great.
