Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Coffee and caramelick aroma. Huge creamy off-white head. Excellent lacing. Mostly lasting longevity. Clear amber body. Moderate bitter and light smoked flavor. Medium palate with oily texture.

Wow, this is perhaps one of the most wonderful sessions I have every drank. It is a really dark beer, with a standard coffee/chocolate aroma and a taste that is very similar, but there is a certain subtlety extant in this beer. Really smooth at the same time. I liked it a lot and want it again sometime soon.

My favorite English porter. Nice opaque black pour, one finger tan head. Scent of coffee, slight mocha. Flavor is matching with roasted malts, creamy mouthfeel. Doesn’t stay with you, finish clean. Great drinkability. Smooth full flavor, more than usual for a porter.

Pours black with a nice thick head. Big chocolate malt and espresso aroma ith a hint of licorice. Coffee and chocolate malt taste that has the consistency of a stout, but much lighter and smoother. Aftertaste is light and dry. Very good.

Good smell and flavor; however, this beer is too ashy in the aftertaste. Reminded me of a wet ashtray. Watery as well.

On draught. Dark brown/black color. Medium head. Frothy goodness. Weak aroma of dark malt. Slight, I mean very slight notes of caramel on the aroma. Perfect stout flavor. Rich, sweet full mouthfeel, mild and refreshing. A great tasting beer. Mild, sweet, dark, moderately roasted flavor. Slight, I mean very slight notes of coffee on the flavor. Consistency is like skim milk. How can a beer focusing on dark malts taste this good? It’s a very smooth, full flavored porter. Excellent lacing. Should be enjoyed by everyone.

Pours opaque root beer brown with a tan fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is wonderful, with roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is beautifully balanced with a combination of the flavors present in the aroma, with a touch of smokiness. Medium mouthfeel. One of the best porters I’ve had. Well done!
