Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Dark brown with a dense greysih head. Subtle aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. The taste is sweet, slightly burned and reminds me of cold cafe latte with a bit of bitterness. This little master piece is wrapped in a thin creamy body, making me crave for every drop of it.

From the awesome looking 12 oz. bottle. This porter looks exactly what I would expect from a classic example of the style. Very dark brown, a little dirty looking with a nice white contrasting head. The aroma is absolutely divine - easily identifiable as Tiramisu. However, the falvor is quite different, much like black coffee with some 2% milk and very little sugar. For some reason I was expecting it to be sweet. Well, I prefer some sweetness, but this was still quite satisfying. The body was too thin and watery for me, but did not detract overall.

Ink black color. Smell is so many different things - it is hard to keep track: weak coffee, figs, freshly cut grass, and roasted pecans to name a few. Palate is a bit too thin for me - but usually porters seem that way to me. However, there is a very nice smoothness to it. Light malt flavor. Little to no bitterness. Nice smooth finish. Easy to drink. Pretty darn good for a porter

Pours nearly black with a small brown head. It smells of dark roasted malts, toffee. The taste is very much roasted coffee with some chocolate mixed. Excellent.

Very, very, dark brown attractive pour with off-white head that lingered for a while. Aroma is of coffee. Taste is also of coffee, but this beer is not too bitter. Nicely balanced. Mouthfeel is nice as carbonation level is just just right. A nice sessionable porter.

Very dark pour with a tan head. Head didn’t last long. Aroma of chocolate milk, dark chocolate, maple syrup, and licorice. Robust flavor of char and heft. Malt smoothness at first and a hop bitterness at the end. It is sharp on the sides of the mouth and tongue.

Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate malts -- sweet, nearly mocha. The flavour is burnt toasted malt with a bitter hops. Two-tone flavour is executed well. A nice, medium body.

mmmmm. This was good. Jet black brew, with a very small tan head. The burnt coffee, roasted notes really shine through in the aroma. tastes like it smells. very good, one of the best in the style.
