mar (1740), Rowlett, Texas, USA Oct 14, 2007 black pour with no head at all. no real scent in the bar. very sweet roasted malt taste, quite good honestly. Aggie80 (708), Michigan, USA Oct 11, 2007 Always glad to see this on the shelf! Nice dark pour some head and lacing. Thick malt flavor with a touch of hops to relieve the sweetness. Nice burnt undertones that make this a good one! Allthatisevil (48), alabaster, Alabama, USA Oct 8, 2007 Pours a deep brown colour with a hint of red in the light. The flavour is just bitter enough. It leaves a slight "burnt" after taste but not too strong. nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 8, 2007 33 cl, bb 03/Jun/07. Nearly opaque brown-black with red highlights. Small creamy head hangs around, leaving nice foamy lacing. Earthy molasses and creamy cocoa aroma. Flavor is similar with hints of charred wood, campfire, molasses, smoky marshmallow, sourish cream; slight bitterish espresso to balance. The creamy smooth, medium body is awesome: turns just watery and tingly enough on the finish to refresh. The best dessert beer ever. coldbrewky (716), Saugerties, New York, USA Oct 8, 2007 Smooth, sweet, full bodied, and has just the right touch with the hop. Bottle procured at Half Time. Pours a deep brown with amber oily head, Translucent brown at edges of glass. Toasty crisp malt nose with hints at caramel. Lacing is sparse and returns quickly to the beer and rings the edge with the carbonation. TMANAZ (8), Arizona, USA does not count Oct 8, 2007 Updated: Oct 22, 2007I fell in love with this Porter Nicely Balanced, Nice dark Pour, Chocolate and Roasted Coffee, not bitter. Good Cold but I like it warmer. excellent Porter and my favorite of the many I’ve tried. Earlier Rating: 10/8/2007 Total Score: 5 This was my favorite Porter. One day I visted my local shop and found they didn’t carry this fine Porter any longer. I was told to try another store that carried a larger variety of imports. I was advised from the person looking it up in his stock book that Fullers London Porter was No longer made. A sad day for this Porter Lover. I will Not go back to Domestic beer and will try some other Porters or quit drinking all together. If anyone has info on this fine Porter, please post Hazmatt (363), Virginia, USA Oct 6, 2007 Bottle. A dark brown pour, average tan head. Chocolate dominates aroma profile followed by roast, coffee. Flavor is malty, roasty but not too bitter; some toasty and bready flavors. Really smooth, really good. Everything from appearance to aroma to finish says this beer is awesome. natejgood (189), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 5, 2007 Pours very dark for a light brown head. The head is thick and stays around for a while. The light coming through the beer is clear, but there isn’t much making it through. Smells of roasted malt and maybe some chocolate and coffee. The aroma is pretty sweet. The taste is of sweet, thick, chocolatey coffee. The beer is thick and creamy in the mouth. This is certainly a heavy beer, but its got a lot of great flavor.
