Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Pours a dark chestnut brown, with a good off-white head. Aromas of chocolate, coffee and malt. Taste a bitter coffee with chocolate highlights and hints of roasted malts and nuts. Finishes dry with good bitterness...it is what it is...

This beer tasted like a carbonated chocolate latte. It looks great: a dark brown hue that was slightly transparent at the edges of my special beer glass. The taste at first was almost too chocolately and coffee-like, but I think I served it too cold. I had it with spicy-hot BBQ wings and pizza, and it tasted amazing together. I highly recommend this beer if you can find it.

I shared a bottle of this with BeerBaron617. Honestly, I didn’t like it all too much. It did pour a nice color, chocolate brown and it’s pretty transparent. It had a thin foamy head that made it’s way into a thin ring around the glass. It smelled like milk, which was weird and made me uncomfortable. It did have a nice chocolate taste and a slight bit of coffee in there, but there was only light carbonation and a very weak mouthfeel. I did not enjoy this beer.

From the tap poured dark brown with a fair amount of head. Nice sweet malty flavor with a lingering finish.

Dark brown with red tints, a nice milk chocolate tan head. The aroma is big and roasty with dark chocolate, mixed berries. Taste is smooth chocolate milk, caramel, fruity toffee, and then a light astringent malt bitter finish. Nice.

33cl bottle. Dark brown with red highlights and a lasting beige head. Aroma of cream, dark chocolate, vanilla ice cream, and caramel. The flavor has sweet caramel, medium roasted malt, some dark chocolate, lower bitterness, and just a touch of lingering sweet cream in the finish. Almost like rich chocolate milk. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. I like that this is firmly a porter, and a great one at that. There is no way you are confusing this with a stout. I would love to have this on cask or bottle conditioned.
