3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very dark almost black. Aroma of coffee and bitter chocolate. The flavor mimics the aroma and has a smooth mouthfeel and a perfectly balanced finish. One of the best proters Iíve tasted so far.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep red with a shallow, tan head. Minerally up front and some honey and light chocolate while cold. Add sugar cookies, caramel, and molasses as it warms. Flavour is of cocoa powder, cherries, cinnamon, and all spice. Off sweet finish and a medium bodied, slightly sticky mouthfeel.

Not a bad porter, but I find it a bit thin and donít like the palate. Worth a go, though. Pretty bland label, suits the beer.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Chocolate malt aroma. Fine foam head with some thick lacing qualities over black beer. Flavour is dark malt, cocoa, with some herbal hoppy bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with subtle carbonation, slightly oily and astringent. Finish is smooth as described and intensifies the flavours nicely. Overall it just gets better and better.

Bottle. Has a clear, dark brown color with a light brown head. Aroma is filled with dark chocolate, liqourice and some dried fruit and toffee. Flavor of roasted bread, liqourice, coffee, dark chocolate and leather. Has a medium body, and a light bitterness. A well-balanced, roasted porter with sweet undertones. Fairly easy-drinking.

500 ml bottle. Today I read "84, charing cross road" so I was in the mood for a british beer, specially if itís called "London Porter". Fantastic smell, chocolate, pepper, malt. Dark brown color with low cream colored head. Great taste has well, very balanced and moderated dark flavours. Fantastic! One of the best dark beers iíve ever had. Run to try this one, sir.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Wow, indeed a contender for the title of "World's finest porter" although probably would not get my vote in the end. Anyway, pours an excellent mahogany accented dark brown, fluffy khaki head. Rich roasty and earthy hop aroma, very fresh and pleasant. The flavor is impeccably classic porter, coffee, chocolate malt, bitter fuggle hops, strong with a caramel creamer espresso finish. Biggest downside is the thin mouthfeel, did not achieve the creamy full-bodied texture as advertised and as I would have preferred. A great beer, just needed more body to match the full flavor; mouthfeel is the only aspect keeping this beer from greatness.
