Light body. Too much carbonation. Nice, light aftertaste. That’s not how a porter is supposed to taste, is it? Nothing special, this one.

Drank from a bottle at home. Good and sweet. There’s even some chocolate in the taste. The colour is nice but could be blacker.

500ml Bottle at home. Black colour with a small white head. Medium body, strong carbonation. Malty aroma, some chocolate, some caramel. Strong roasted aftertaste. Nothing is out, just a plain but very good Porter!

A nice, black beer with a firm stout-like layer of foam. Nice aroma of the roasted malt. Nice bitter taste where the malt is very present. It moves on into a bitter aftertaste.

I was surprised to see that this beer scores a 100. I tasted it in a blindtaste and really didn’t like it. Dark red color and watery palate. Aroma of mocca and caramel was ok. The taste is really dull though. Tasted to me like red wine with cola. That’s not what I’m looking for in a porter.

Red wine aroma, malt aroma. Black body, light brown short head. Taste is complex, somewhat confusing. Citrus notes, roasted, wine, dark chocolate. Slight sour tang, bitterness. Some sweet fruit-malt notes, balancing the bitterness. Mouth fill is watery but full, carbonation is quite strong. After taste is slightly sweet with hints of malt and coffee.

Purchased at Binnys in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on a Saturday afternoon while listening to records and watching baseball. Appearance is a moderate pitch black with a thin tan head, looks nice. Aroma of nice chocolate and cocoa, light caramel. Taste goes down lightly bitter with great chocolate notes, light nut. Pretty good porter, happy to have had one of the most famous porters around!
