A dark red almost black beer with a fine light brown head. The aroma is fruity an slightly smokey. And the flavor is smokey but very mellow - nice but very mainstream for a porter.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 fiulijn (10421) - Como, ITALY - DEC 10, 2005
Keg Brown color, with a thick cap of brown foam. Hop and roasted malt in the nose, light note of coffee. Much better taste: roasted malt and coffee, cappuccino! Good body strength, and very interesting quality of malt, not too much on the bitter-roasted side. Good balance with a residual sweetness. The hop is completely overwhelmed in the body; it comes up later in the finish. Not complex, but a very good example of dark ale (stout?).
