Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Aroma is just like hazelnut coffee . Flavor is similar with a touch of vanilla creamer in it. Superb.

Deep mahogany brown, thin tannish head that evaporated far to fast but leaves impressive sticky, spotty ink-blot lacing. Smell is deeply roasty/toasty malts with a slight burntness with notes of hazelnut, dark toffee, and coffee. Taste is a fair amount of roasted malts, burnt-like toast and coffee, a bit acidy in the middle into the end where a tiny little fruityness slips in, finishing with a hoppy mellow dryness that balances well. Feel is medium to thin in abundance, no real richness or heftyness to be found for my idea of a robust porter. Its a solid porter by many means and quite a good drinker, I was hoping for more though.

is one of the basic originals to learn on, choc aroma, with some slight coffee, nice not over powering, some biterness

33cl bottle. Dark brown with red highlights and a lasting beige head. Aroma of cream, dark chocolate, vanilla ice cream, and caramel. The flavor has sweet caramel, medium roasted malt, some dark chocolate, lower bitterness, and just a touch of lingering sweet cream in the finish. Almost like rich chocolate milk. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. I like that this is firmly a porter, and a great one at that. There is no way you are confusing this with a stout. I would love to have this on cask or bottle conditioned.

Pours black with a nice thick head. Big chocolate malt and espresso aroma ith a hint of licorice. Coffee and chocolate malt taste that has the consistency of a stout, but much lighter and smoother. Aftertaste is light and dry. Very good.

Now this is a Porter to be reckoned with. I’m telling you man, I will judge all porters, excluding Baltic styles, by this specimen. Pours coffee black w/ full creamy tan froth. Aroma of dark cocoa, roasted coffee beans, vanilla, and leather. Full nectar w/ soft residual effers. Dry with complex flavors of dark cocoa, roasted coffee and nuts, leather, cigars, and vanilla bean. The finish is perfectly bittered for your next sip. Overall: Well ballanced, complex, perfection. I wanted for nothing. I loved it, highly recommended.

Dark brown, light tan head. Aroma is hard to come by, a little malt, some sweetness. Nice coffee notes in the body, some roast. Smooth, but finishes rather sweet and a bit thin.

Totally awesome. Very dark pour, full retentive head. Roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate. Velvety mouthfeel. Perfectly made. So good...
