Pours black colour with a foamy white head. Leaves a nice thin lacing. Really great roasted malty aroma with a lot of coffee and chocolate, mild hoppy. The same goes for the flavour, lots of coffee and choclate. It has a full flavor. Outstanding.

Possibly the best porter at the moment. The aroma of dark chocolate and coffee takes the impressions. The head stays for a long time like a crown. Very nice. Now the taste is equally divided between the chocolate and the coffee but a hint of caramel makes an appearance. The balance changes a bit as the beer gets warmer. Aftertaste equally great. Drink it with a piece of 70% chocolate at the side.

Huge brown head. Clear black colour. Astonishing creamy, roasty caramel aroma. Delicious spicy taste and a softly unfolding roasty, coffee palate that tickles your tongue. Maybe the best beer I have ever drunk.

The best porter I have had so far! Nice dark colour. Great caramel, chocolate, coffee, roasty aroma and taste. Definitely must try if you enjoy porters.

I would never give any beer a perfect score, save this one. Best porter anywhere, ever. The richness, complexity and overall flavour are divine. Excellent for reading by the fire, post-dinner, with dessert or even just for a refreshing autumn or spring day. In the right mood - even a summertime possibility! Fullers makes great beers, but they dominate this category for sure

My favourite beer! Rich, full bodied, strong chocolate flavour with bitter coffee finish. looks gorgeous in the glass with dark body and fluffy, long lasting caramel head. Cannot recommend enough!

This is by far the most delicious porter I have ever tasted. Sweet toasted flavors of chocolate and coffee, very well balanced by perfect hopping. Oily, delicious on the palate. I am a fan!

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2009 Looks like Black Gold. Rich and complex. Here is a suggestion, try it in a cognac snifter, sounds strange, but I did this once and it actually brought out some subtle flavors..like cinnamon and hazlenut, and accented the chocolate tones. I love this stuff, definitely in my top five
