Commercial Description:
Bottled and (in USA) kegged - pasteurised.
Fuller’s London Porter captures the flavours of those original brews perfectly, although you won’t find a cloudy pint these days! Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour.
It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings.

Pours almost like a hazelnut brown ale but drinks almost like a stout. Rich deep brown colour preceeds a tantalizing roasted chocolate aroma and a smooth chocolate coffee taste. Lingers nicely with a slight bitter aftertaste - truly enjoyable beer.

WOW! This is one hell of a porter! Strong chocolate and coffee aroma. Very dark brown color with small tan head. Good Choc. expresso taste with a little hint of berrys. Awesome

Pours dark with a deep ruby shade when held to the a light. Light tan head with minimal retention (Possibly a bit colder than it should have been). Excellent aroma of chocolate with some hint of mocha and caramel. Full of body. Pleasant finish with minimal bitterness. An excellent porter!!

Thanks Chuck! Pours to a fairly dark brown color. With an off-white head that laces pretty well. The aroma is VERY nice. Dry roasted malts. Coffee, light chocolate. The palate is very creamy and dry. Light bitterness. The flavor is chocolately, coffee, grassy hops, really tasty. More porters should strive to be like this one. There’s a bit of lactose type sweetness to this one. I like this one a lot. Very good roastyness. The palate is very well balance to the flavor. I could drink this a lot!

Bottle: Extremely dark-ruby coloured with a small creamy, tanned head; dry, robust roastmalty nose with an aroma of freshly ground coffee; light to medium bodied; dry moderate bitter flavour; fruity, chocolatey-bitter and coffeeish finish. A very rich and flavoursome, very well crafted Porter............ Re-rate (10/08), bottle sampled at the Counting House, City of London: It seems, that this gorgeous brew has become even better: very rich, very flavoursome, very smooth... A better Porter is hard to imagine!

Delicious. This is a full flavored porter. Tastes of chocolate and coffee. Mouth feel is smooth and creamy. One of the best porters out there.

Pours dark brown, with a small, thin light tan head. Smells of big roast and nuts. Alot of dark malts and hints of mild chocolate are there as well. Very rich and thick mouthfeel, alot of roast and chocolate as well. Nice body, really good flavor. This is how I like my porters, thick and toasty. The finish is nutty, alot of toasted malt and the aftertaste is just slightly bitter, but masked by the roast. Excellent porter. Very well done.

Bottle. Foamy brown head that was nice but faded too quickly, leaving a bit of lacing. Strong shot of espresso flavor and bitter chocolate. Very smooth, with flavor washing over and no irritating carbonation. Would like some more body, but great all around.
