500ml can. Pours a light amber with a small and rather unusual head, big and fluffy grain that turns low and dense after that. Nice nose of hops and grains, a little sweet. Taste with lots of malt, a little caramel and a dry bitterness. Drinkable.

500 ml bottle, 4.7% alcohol, from Jumbo, Santiago de Chile Pours a nice lively gold color with a fine frothy white head that leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is mostly hoppy, fresh and typically english. It appears well refined showing notes of sweet citrus, flowers, maple leaves and pineapple. Some bready malts are also noticeable. Taste is subtly bitter, smooth and fresh with a very herbal character. Hints of lemon verbena, butterscotch and white grapes. Nice touch of sweetness. Medium body as expected, easy-to-drink, long finish. The aftertaste is cereally. Fine and it would pair well with fish and seafood.

Old review from BA: I have had this beer in keg form and cask conditioned, but never bottled before. I haven’t had a any London Pride apart from this bottle since I joined this site (BA), some 3 months ago, so here goes! 550ml Brown bottle, best before 28th Oct 2007, drank 17th Dec 2006. Looks good, poured into a straight, standard sleeve pint glass. Amber Bronze, with very small bubbles rising to help the slightly off-white foaming head stay for as long as the pint takes to drink (not long). The beer is too cold at first, I should have let it sit in the house for a while before I opened it, my garage (from where I store my beer) was colder than I thought. The aroma arrived as the beer warmed up, malts and hops tickle your senses. The taste improved as the beer warmed also, rich malts and a bitter crispness give it a fine taste and mouthfeel, a very nice beer.

Pours a medium golden color, with so-so head and a pretty uninteresting aroma that is a subtle mix of hops and malt. Carbonation is a bit aggressive. Flavor is a very subtle mix of malt and hops with the hops coming out on top just a bit. Finished with a short lingering and mild hop bitterness. I find it pretty uninteresting, and it’s not one that I would need to have again.

Slight roasted malt aroma and flavour which provides a roasted bitterness. Enjoyable if not a touch overrated
