Brown ruby color. Nutty aroma, malty with a bit of hops. Flavor is also nutty, with some fruity prune-like notes. Very balanced. Medium body. Finishes with a spicy hop finish that lasts for bit. One of the better bitters I had in the UK.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Pint on cask at the Queenís Terminal (Heathrow). Pours orange-amber with a white head. Aromas of biscuit, roast malt. Taste is similar, with a mild sweetness to start, and a stronger bitter finish.

Cask at tap room at London kings cross station. Pours a copper hue with a lovely eggshell head and good lacing. Nose is earthy very lite tea notes from the English hops. Great balanced toasted malt base with a very dry cracker malt profile. Finish has lots of earthy herbal hops. Very clean and nice session brew. Full body for the abv. Leaps and bounds better than the US bottled version.

Had this at the spotted dog, Barking before the final game at the boleyn. Generic beer that is easily drinkable. Faint bitter taste that becomes stronger as the drinking progresses.

Tap at keg and brew - pours golden orange with a thin head. Aroma is honey with a nutty malt backbone. Taste is malty on the sweet side with a dry finish.

Kiggity-cask bitches! Like Steven Seagal in the movie "Ticker," Iím a ticker. Clear copper color with a fading white head. Aroma has tea, leaves, toffee, grainy hops. The flavor is balanced with caramel sweetness yielding to a noble hop finish. Medium light body, light carbonation. A solid tick.

Tap @ The Belvedere, Sydney. Toffee colour with creamy head. Nutty, malty and toffee aromas. Very malty, biscuity flavours with earthy hops. Would like a touch more bittering hops but a delicious beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
