Cask (Pullman Bar, Helsinki) Rich copper ale colour, little head. Honey and caramel malt aroma. Honey, bitter and malted grain very well coordinated. Classic English bitter. Finnish is malty.

Deep amber gold, no head; well orchestrated fruit, malt and hops; full mouthfeel; lingering orangey citrus fruit and hops in the moderate bitter, dry finish; moreish and above all very well-balanced; that rare thing - a beer which fully deserves its apparent ubiquity.

On tap. Brown colour with a good formation of a white, dense, creamy and moderate lasting head. Aroma has dry fruits notes, malty and toasty. Flavour is slightly sweet at the beginning, with notes of nuts and hazelnuts and a final creamy, smooth and slightly bittery. Carbonation is soft. Body is medium to high. Texture is oily.

Cask at the Bridge Bar, Heathrow terminal 3. Thought I had better have one last real ale before emigrating to Japan. Have never liked London Pride much, but was pleasantly surprised! Clear amber colour with small beige head. Aroma is malty, cereal, touch of stink. Taste not bad, lots of malt, bit of cream, very grainy. Not much bitterness, touch of fruit and some nuttiness. Bit floral too. Not half as bad as I remembered it being, but at the same time, fairly bland.

At a pub close to our hotel we chose because of free Internet. Nice dark orange. Lots of a nice lacing pattern. Barman wastes lots with the cask pour. Mild hop nose, mildly bitter palate, decent and local. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask. Amber with a white head. Possibly the archetypal example of a Brtitish bitter. A decent session beer.

Spicy fruity aroma and thick head, a nice pale ale. Like Bass with flavor and a prettier look to it. Traditional.

Very normal bog standard bitter. Nothing to write really. I think Fullers are overrated. Though I did enjoy their ESB plenty.
