Had a pint of this popular and excellent brew at a few different pubs in Oxford, London, and Sofia. A nice clear copper-red colour with low carbonation. The aroma mixes fruit and malt. The taste is distinctly bittersweet. Certainly one of my favourites.

Flat, clear, amber ale, with a nice, foamy head. Medium-bodied. Caramel and biscuity malts, nicely balanced with citrus, some subtle, astringent grapefruit and alcohol. Fine.

Traditional English bitter. Biscuity (Malted Milk). Thin. Tried out of nostalgia for a particularly messy afternoons drinking in Manchester (circa 1995 at a guess). Not as good as I remembered it.
