Palate: light sweets continue, very malty, caramel, biscuit, very light floral hops in the background, subtle carbonation. Overall: very easily drinkable beer. Clear copper body, medium white head. Aroma of lemongrass, cookies, dough. Taste is bready, medium bitter, slightly herbal, slightly sweet. Not bad, not great either, slightly overhyped.

L: pours a clear copper with a small dissipating head and plenty of bubbles. S: big sweetness first up mixed with citrus, caramelised sugar, earthy malt dominating as the drink goes on. T: very nice sweet bready malts, hints of citrus, reasonably dry finish. F: light-bodied but with a nice lingering flavour. O: great standard ale, easy to find and priced well in Japan.

Backlog from lost & found notes: Mild aromas from bread, malt and slight grass. Taste brings more of the same and smooth toffee flavors. A straight up regular bitter.

11.2 oz can into an Irish pub-style imperial pint glass, demonstrating how much short of an imperial pint 330 mL actually is! Dark amber with a 3/4 inch off-white head, receding slowly leaving lacing on the glass. Lightly carbonated. Sweet malty smell, just a faint hint of fruity aroma. Mouth feel is a bit thin to medium. Mild initial taste, some hops bittering in the middle, with a sweet malt finish balanced by hops bittering. There is just not much to this beer. The taste is not particularly malty nor are the hops flavorful or bitter. Overall, a relatively thin, uninteresting beer. Very disappointing, especially given the high ratings.

On tap, Čierny pes. Amber orange colour, white head. Aroma mostly caramel malts, candy, bisquity, some nut tones, english hops. I can smell a streel a bit in aroma, but nothing significant. Taste caramel, bisquity, moderate bitterness in the end. Good one.
