Clear, pale amber color with small white foam. Aroma mainly of malt, smells light and of cheap beer. Palate light, watery, no body, burned sugar aftertaste. Taste of malt? and cheap lager? Overall, tastes like lager and why would this be made? Not recomended!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Gollem Amstelstraat. Clear, pale golden amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, honey and biscuits. Sweetish-malty taste of caramel, honey and biscuits. Short, slightly bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite malty, not very intense. Okay, expected more of that classic.

@braukollektiv boutique tasting, thanks to Gil and bartlebier for finding space to drink in style. Aromas of herbs (bay leaf, estragon) on sublte honey and lighter caramalts with a hint of celery morphing into a pineapple tang. Taste brings honey, pollen, floral aspects and herbs, less spectacular in fact than its aromas. Very subtle bitter finish. Balanced and classic. A neat Bitter.

Bottle. Pours clear orange with a small head. Aroma is light and malty, clean, hints of fruits. The flavour is clean and malt leaning, not overly sweet, with a light, clean biterness to the finish. Very clean an easy drinking. Petty solid overall.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
BBD 2/5/16. Pours a clear medium amber with a touch of garnet. Outstanding head volume and lacing, world class retention.
Outstanding nose of sweet malt, with substantial caramel influence, light fruit (pear) and subtle hops.
Heavy medium body with a creamy texture. World class carbonation with a subtle effervescent middle and a nice prickly finish.
The flavor profile is borderline world class. The intensity is a bit subtle, but complexity and balance are spot on. It begins with a grainy cracker biscuit that flows into a subtle caramel sweetness with notes of pear. The middle brings a classic British hop flavor and mild bitterness. The finish has crisp elements and a mild herbal hop flavor lingers.
