3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle. Aroma is caramel and malt, almost no hops yet. Appearance is caramel, with medium head. The taste starts quite sweet, with notes of caramel and biscuit, what you would expect from an English ale, but as the sweetness fades away a very pleasant hoppy flavour appears. Very drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Itís like a typical typical Bitter, which I have to say is not my favourite style. Itís perfectly clear golden color. Aroma - mostly malts. Taste - no body, itís not complex, just strict and pure bitterness.

Dark amber colour. Very bitter hoppy tasting. Lingering aftertaste. Very different to the cask. Not as smooth.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This has been a real revelation for me, after finally re-trying it and loving it. You can attempt to describe it, but it?s just a perfectly balanced English ale - sweet and dry, malty and hoppy. For a simple beer it has plenty of complexity from the yeast, the parti-gyle process and the hops.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Een donker-amberkleurig bier met een dunne (het is tenslotte een Brits bier) schuimkraag. Geur van mout, smaak van mout, beetje notig, beetje caramel, fris bitter, ook in de nasmaak. Een lekker Brits bier!

Bottle from Tesco, Windy Nook. Pours ruby, nice effervescent appearance let down by a slightly metallic tinge to flavour
