Pleasent and rather seasoned ale. It’s good on its own but also ok with meaty food.

Backlog from lost & found notes: Mild aromas from bread, malt and slight grass. Taste brings more of the same and smooth toffee flavors. A straight up regular bitter.

11.2 oz can into an Irish pub-style imperial pint glass, demonstrating how much short of an imperial pint 330 mL actually is! Dark amber with a 3/4 inch off-white head, receding slowly leaving lacing on the glass. Lightly carbonated. Sweet malty smell, just a faint hint of fruity aroma. Mouth feel is a bit thin to medium. Mild initial taste, some hops bittering in the middle, with a sweet malt finish balanced by hops bittering. There is just not much to this beer. The taste is not particularly malty nor are the hops flavorful or bitter. Overall, a relatively thin, uninteresting beer. Very disappointing, especially given the high ratings.

On tap, Čierny pes. Amber orange colour, white head. Aroma mostly caramel malts, candy, bisquity, some nut tones, english hops. I can smell a streel a bit in aroma, but nothing significant. Taste caramel, bisquity, moderate bitterness in the end. Good one.

London Pride is one of the most esteemed English beers that can be procured. Fortunately it is not so hard to find here in Denmark, and the price is also very reasonable, at least in relation to quality. The caramel malts sweetness in beautiful and tasty association with exquisite hops makes it an ale of the greatest. The foam is a little sparse, but it just room for its delicate floral aroma hops. Soft and rounded mouth feel and very typical English ale. The world would not be the same without Fuller’s London Pride. I always thought that Fuller’s is known for its tasty and extremely real products, and London Pride emphasizes definitely that I am right. If you have not done yourselves a favor and taste Fuller ’s very wide-ranging repertoire, it is time to get started.

Bottle. Pours is clear light amber with medium foamy white head that doesn’t last long. Sharp aroma of malts, caramel, yeast, red fruits. Taste is light bitter, caramel sweetnes and some fruity notes. Medium body, slick texture, light bitter finish. Light and very drinkable.

Bottle pours chesnut orange with two-finger white head. Aroma is toffee and bread notes from the malt, maybe liquorice, balanced with earthy and spicy hop character. Also some cut-grass component. Taste punches in a moderate bitterness at first, before fading quickly to slightly sweet caramel maltiness. Certainly very good, but perhaps overrated outside the UK?
