3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml pasteurised bottle, consumed on 16 March 2007. Quite dark copper colour tending towards nut brown. Robust and malty. A bit sweet for my taste. Toffeeish malts and nutty accents. Not really my type of beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear deep chestnut colors with rich ruby highlights and a 2 finger tan cap that lasts and laces up the pint glass.
As this beer warms you get the wonderful aroma of sweet brown caramel malt, ripe fruits and hint of grass
Front side floods the palate with rich brown caramel malts, some nuttines, some dark fruit, then the balance comes in with a sharp resinous bittering from long-boil targets that carries through to dry and bitter the finish and leave a metallic bitter after taste.
A primo ESB very delicious and satisfying

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2011 Draught at Bishops Arms Avenyn, Göteborg, Sweden, on December 9, 2010
Clear dark copper to brown color. Medium sized, lasting, very nice looking tan head. Sweet wort, berry, bready, sugary, also butter scent. Dry, bitter, malt dominated, butter,s ome fruit esters taste. Fairly dry and bitter finish, mixed with some cream in the aftertaste. Fairly soft and smooth mouthfeel. Soft fairly low bitterness.
Started out dry and bitter, but turned more sweet and smooth, I like it.
Draught at Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg, on July 15, 2011
Clear copper color, dense tan head. Malty, bread, caramel, bitter, fruity taste. Bready bitter lingering aftertaste. Medium to moussy mouthfeel, medium high sort of dry bitterness. Chocolate, caramel, sweet, malty, fruity, gooseberry, hoppy scent.
Rather well balanced and drinkable, though for my taste it wouldn’t hurt to have it less bitter, sweeter and with a more full mouthfeel.
