DraftDodger (1083) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 13, 2016
Copenhagen 13/1 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Very golden and purple label - far from the colours I usually relate to a dreary Scandinavian winter. Pours clear reddish brown with small white head. Disappears almost immediately leaving only thin remnants of foam. Aroma is sweet with caramel, berries, brown sugar and a hint of fruity tartness. Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate. Taste is quite sweet and dominated by sugary caramel and spicyness. Light bitterness ensures that it does not get cloying. If you associate winter with mulled wine, slippers and a crackling gire this beer will fit right in.

Amber color with small tan head. Aroma is bitter caramel malts, earthy Old World hops, and nuttiness. Taste is intense on the bitter caramel, toffee, overall quite dry, but with a heavy maltiness, bitter "black tea"-like finish. Exactly how you’d imagine a malt-heavy UK Pub Ale. I imagine that this would pair nicely with a christmas pudding.

Pours clear, dark amber with a small beige head.

Nose: Nuts, malt, caramel and toffee.
Taste: A lot of malt. Dried fruit. Caramel. Bread and grain.
Mouth: Very dry. A little tea-like bitterness. Light body. Medium carbonation.

It´s absolutely ok but not what I want...
I think I have a few bottles left. Maby they will pair better with some Christmass food - We’ll see!
