Bottle from Sainsburys. Brown, with a beige head. Sweet, coco pops aroma. Oooh harsh, stinging malt flavour. This is only 5.3% - where does the seawater bitterness come from? Some clippings of a sweet body before the salt finish kicks. I have to say this does get better, but still itís a bit harsh. Maybe.

Bottled. Dark almost ruby coloured beer with a strong head. The aroma is hopped and slightly caramel and the flavour is very strongly hopped with a long dry caramel finish. Overall a well structured beer.

Bottled. A dark amber coloured beer with low carbonation and no head. The aroma has a real figgy fruity raisin quality to it with a bit of Everton toffee. The taste is full bodied; sweet, malty ; fruity and full of good caramel notes. A good Winter type ale which looks and tastes very English. I consider this to be Fullersí take on a Winter Warmer which Iím sure would be good cask conditioned and if my memory doesnít deceive me, I have had cask conditioned in the dim and distant past? Reminds me a bit of a weaker version of Golden Pride too?
