Typical British beer, bit malty and a bit bitter. Also a bit flat though, like it stood too long in the English rain.

(Keg at Black Door, 20131222) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was small, dense and almost white. Aroma had malts, caramel, sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, raisins, hops and bitterness. Aftertast was sweet, malty and bitter. A tasty winter warmer.

Pours a nice amber body with a medium head. A bit too much hops for my taste.

Pint on tap at Beer Revolution in Edmonton pours amber in color with a small off-white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruits with some caramel and hops. Taste is malty and fruity sweet with a generous hop bitterness for the style. Medium bodied with some decent carbonation. A nicely done and tasty winter warmer that is sure to satisfy most palates.
