ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Dec 6, 2007 Bottled(500ml). -Very simple and nice beer. Flowery and hoppy aroma with notes of honey. Slight bitter sweet finish. dkazuk (247), winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Nov 18, 2007 500ml bottle.
Pours a deep amber honey colour with a small white head. Aroma is a little weak but you can still pick out the honey as well as some floral hops. Taste is creamy malts and floral hops again. Some honey in the finish. Smooth medium-thin feel. soft carbonation. Overall pretty good. davidpl (435), Santiago, Chile Oct 28, 2007 Appearance: amber orange color. Low head, beige color and not much persistency.
Aroma: pale malts smells, floral progress from hops. Ripe and some citric fruity, like apples and papayas. Some similar to the honey. Floral smells with reminiscences of chamomile.
Flavor: sweet start from pale grains; tones of honey, vanilla and sweet-fruits like papayas and white grape. Medium to low hoppiness, but persistent. Honey aftertaste and some sauco touches.
Palate: light to medium body, soft texture. Light carbonation.
Nice but mediocre for Fullers.
imdownthepub (5089), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Oct 28, 2007 Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml, Sainsbury’s Banbury. Gold to amber with white head. Light and bitter with a dry finish. Definite hints of honey with a reasonable zesty, acidic note. Drinkable and refreshing without hitting the heights. It’s fine. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 25, 2007 [610-20070914] 500mL. Vine leaf and earth cask aroma has some malt and some nice notes of roast beef wheat. Clear, orange amber body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sweet wheaty malt flavour has hints of good bandaid. Medium body. Drinkable, even fine warm (but not for long), maybe +1 for organic. thebeertourist (2751), Oslo, Norway Oct 25, 2007 Bottle. Clear amber with a medium-sized froth. Potent flowery and spicy honey aroma. Sweet flavours initially, some graininess, countered by good bitterness. Quite alright. yespr (11649), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 11, 2007 50 cL bottle, given two me by my to great sons for fathers day. Pours golden yellow/orange with a little dense white head. Smooth and slight carbonated mouthfeel. Distinct honey aroma on top of a mild caramel malt base, a bit sharp. Flavour is honey, more sharp than sweet. Ends however quite sweet yet quite well balanced. Nice. Panzerfaust (393), Santiago, Chile Oct 6, 2007 Pours a clear bronze/orange color. Head is medium white and diminishes quickly. It leaves a fair lacing.
Aroma is soft, rather fruity with herbal hops and with a light malty touch. Some fruits come out like oranges and dry apricots complemented by a grainy hint. Like an oversweet yellow/orange fruit salad.
Flavor is sweet with honey traces and sweet citrusy touches. Soft tangerine and orange taste with clear grainy touches in the back. OK.
Light to medium body. Carbonation is soft but lively. Simple, refreshing. Finish is dull, nothing special. Decent aftertaste but also nothing special. Underwhelming.
