jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 30, 2006 Bottle from LCBO. Golden yellow body with a tiny white head that fades. I have smelled this aroma somewhere before but can not firmly place it. Honey, toasty malt, and something that reminds me of a cheap grainy pale lager. Light toasty malt in the flavour with a healthy dose of honey. Average palate. Rather dull and not particularly good. Aroma in a neglected glass a few hours later is quite sickly. Crit (2398), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jul 29, 2006 Deep gold, small white head.Light sweet nose.Light pleasant sweet profile, slightly bland and undercarbonated. sinkhole (176), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jul 28, 2006 Pours golden yellow with thin white head. Strong sweet aroma of hops and honey. Taste is surprisingly bitter and not as sweet as anticipated. Not a favourite of mine, but there’s plenty of worse out there. iambeer (255), Ontario, Canada Jul 27, 2006 novacaine bitter, maybe this is what penicillian taste like. This is not Fullers forte. daboskabouter (1470), Fergus, Ontario, Canada Jul 25, 2006 Bright golden colour with a foamy white head. Some fruit and a hint of honey in the nose with some grass. The body is smooth and lightly bitter with some roasty hops. faintly sweet and a bit grassy, a nice ale. Trev (850), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Jul 24, 2006 Pours a medium gold with thin white bubbly head. Aroma is strong honey and earthy malt and bread.
Flavour is crispish malty flavour, some honey, and a slightly bitter finish.
Was hoping for more really. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Jul 24, 2006 Clear light bronze colour. Bland caramel and breadcrust malts in both aroma and palate. The finish has a bit of floral honeyish character. Quick, simple, and totally uninteresting. Eructoblaster (1477), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 20, 2006 Bottle. Limpid golden body with good carbonation and a thick off-white bubbly head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with easily discernable honeyish notes. Taste is good, but lacks complexity as it is dominated by maltyness and breadiness. Ends with a short bittersweet finish. Average Blond Ale.
