| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 22, 2006 Bottle (from Sainsburys, BBE Sep 06). Main aroma is of biscuity malts and cream crackers. Honey becomes noticeable whilst drinking. Fairly dry at times but with some bursts of overly sweet caramel and honey flavours. Lacking in balancing hops both to counteract some of the sweetness and to add interest to what gets fairly boring. DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England

I rather like the bottled version of this, better than the draft version, which I also sometimes like. Sweet, good carbonation, with a gliding honey quality. Gets a better froth than the tap version. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 16, 2006 A very nice yellow-golden colour, with a white head that clings to the glass. The honey is slightly noticable in the aroma, but gives much abrupt bitterness to the taste, slowing it of with its sweetness. unibaren (145), 8000 Århus C, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 31, 2006 The honey is definitely noticeable in the aroma along with a deliciously fresh hay-type of scent. Visually it is rather disappointing. The head which is off-white and small to begin with is gone in seconds. The colour is beautiful golden but the limited carbonation makes the beer look like leftovers from last night. The flavour on the other hand is delicious. It is light in the beginning, and then turns honeysweet before a nice hop-bitterness settles in the aftertaste. Even though the carbonation isn’t highly visible it is noticeable on the palate adding yet another counterpoint to the honey sweetness. Not quite a beer to die for but rather delicious nevertheless.
