This avoids the cloying sweetness that mars so many honey ales. It pours a gold colour with the huge, lasting head typical of Fullers’ ales. The nose is sweet and zesty. Strong honey characters underpinned by malt. It’s a crisp and refreshing brew with a lip-smacking hoppy body. Green apple characters. The target hops provide a nice balance to the sweetness of the honey, so that the latter is never overpowering. (Bottle) Stew41 (1050), Caulfield, Australia

Expressive nose of sweet malts and a clearly defined honey note - almost confectionary. Fantastic in the mouth; very malt driven but the sweetness from the honey is undeniable. Great fun. Might be a little sweet for some but this is IMHO an awesome take on the style. Lubiere (4486), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Has the bottle is opened, honey comes out right away, very pleasant. Sustained honey with grains in aroma. Nice malts, with light sweet honey in mouth, with some light hops, and creamy mouthfeel. Decent honey beer. Thanks to Piscator. Garrat (1132), Suffolk, England

With plenty of body and a smashing aftertaste it is one worth seeking out. haddon90 (1035), Alexandria, Virginia, USA

Sweet aroma, doughy with some honey and malt. Didn’t do much for me though. Light flavor, kind of crisp. But some definite honey notes. Nice to try some different Fullers beers though.
